Whitening
In a single treatment session, ZOOM! Whitening can lighten your teeth up to eight shades. Teeth whitening is effective and safe for guests who have yellow, brown, or orange tinges due to age, food stains, heredity or tobacco use. For those guests who are not in need of immediate results, Nite White bleaching is offered as a take home system for whitening while you sleep.

Veneers
Porcelain veneers are a beautiful way to correct stained, chipped, or crooked teeth; ultimately transforming your smile in as few as two dental visits. Veneers are semi-translucent shells that are bonded to the front of your teeth, changing the appearance of your smile by altering the color, shape, and size. A whiter, straighter, more aesthetic smile can make you look years younger and boost self confidence.

Composite Fillings (Tooth Colored)
Composites are white fillings that are designed to match the color of your teeth. Composite resins
represent several advantages over traditional silver fillings. Because they are not made of metal, we can
blend and mix shades to find the perfect color. Another pro is that the composite bond actually supports
the remaining tooth structure, deterring breakage and insulating against temperature changes. Best of all, composite resins allow us to keep more of your natural tooth structure intact than silver fillings. We believe that the more natural tooth structure you keep the better teeth you will likely have in the future.

Inlays and onlays
Inlays are used to treat the teeth that have decay or damage lying within their indented top surfaces.
Onlays are used to treat decay that extend out over the cusps of the tooth. Inlays and Onlays are tooth
colored and made from durable porcelain, most often used to replace old or damaged metal fillings.
Both can be completed over two appointments.

Crowns
A crown can return structure, strength and function to a tooth with extensive decay or damage. Designed to fit snugly and function as a healthy tooth, a crown will protect your tooth from further damage and preserve the jaw’s correct natural alignment. We are able to use precious metal, porcelain fused to metal, or all porcelain crowns; however to maintain a fully white smile, we recommend all porcelain crowns. Porcelain crowns are extremely durable and long lasting; these benefits make them popular with our guests.Typically, we design, fit and place your crowns in a couple appointments.

Bridges
If you have lost a tooth either genetically or due to injury, we can create a permanent bridge to restore
your smile. A bridge not only fills the gap, but it also prevents repositioning of remaining teeth. A fixed
bridge is a prosthetic tooth (or teeth) that attaches to adjacent teeth with prepared crowns. For a bridge
that replaces many teeth, we may recommend a removable partial denture or implant supported prosthesis. With proper care, a fixed bridge may last at least 8 to 10 years.

Dental Implants
Now guests who are missing teeth have a strong alternative to bridges, partials or full dentures. By
imitating an entire natural tooth, from the root up, dental implants offer a prosthetic that closely mimics
nature.
What does this mean for you? You will enjoy restored function with chewing and your speech
may improve. Dental implants will improve your lifestyle! They look, feel and function like natural teeth
due to the titanium anchor that attaches itself to the jawbone. Dental implants can also anchor bridges,
partials, or full dentures to eliminate slipping. After a thorough evaluation, Dr. McFerran will be able to
educate you on whether this option is for you.

Sedation Dentistry

As a sedation dentist, Dr. McFerran understands dental anxiety, fear or phobia. He knows that some
guests do not respond well to traditional numbing agents, and those who need lengthy or multiple
procedures may avoid dental care because they don’t want to sit in the dental chair for hours.

The medicine is called Triazolam. It is a small pill that is taken prior to your dental visit. This medication
has been prescribed over 10 million times per year and has almost no side effects or interaction with
other medications you may be taking.

What are the Benefits?
It allows you to comfortably undergo everything from a cleaning to extensive restorative care. One of the
additional benefits is that the medicine has an amnesia quality which for most guests, tends to prevent
almost any memory of the visit. This effect will last between 2-4 hours for most.

Is it Safe?

We constantly monitor each guest with a computerized pulse oximeter, which measures heart rate,
blood pressure and oxygen saturation. We also have a reversal agent on hand that reverses the effect of the sedation medication in less than 30 seconds. Whatever your concern is about dentistry, Dr. McFerran and his team want to help you overcome them and experience the rewards of sedation dentistry.

Technology

We currently use the most advanced up to date dental products and techniques with our patients. In order to provide excellent service and accurate diagnosis the following items are implemented by our team:

Digital X-rays - X-rays that lessen exposure to radiation and increase detail of tooth structure.

Intraoral Camera - A fiber optic lens camera that is used to show the patient an enlarged view of the mouth.

Air Abrasion - An instrument utilized in place of a hand drill to remove small areas of decay. Procedures performed using air abrasion often do not require anesthesia.

Cavitron - An ultrasonic instrument that aids the dental hygienist in removing large amounts of built up tartar.

Diagnodent - A hand held laser that aids the user in the detection of decay not easily detectible on an x-ray.
